I have an Edson worm gear steering unit I want to sell, but I don't know what price to put on it!
I think it is 1930's -1950's vintage. There's some #'s stamped - model #0 ?
It's bronze and heavy. Came off my 50' gaffer when it was switched to a tiller helm way back when. Can someone help me put a price on it? Or refer me to a site that could?
Thanks

In 2001 Edson quoted on a worm steerer, wheel, binnacle, etc. for a client of mine's 50-ft LWL ketch. Price tag was about $5500 US.

Contact Hank Keene Jr. or Will Keene at Edson at:

Edson International

I'm sure that they's like to hear about their "old gear", and may be able to help you with a fair market price for the hardware.
