Five years ago Queen Samba discovered that she can really cover some territory in a kayak and then claim territory that other low-life curs can't reach.
She is typically good for about 45min - 1hr. before she gets antsy and wants to get her paws on the ground. She seems to enjoy boating at least as much as the rest of us. However, I'm still not sure about her ideas regarding fiberglass.

Isn't it great to have a dog (trout) to ride along with you. Min only last about 45 seconds before they get antsy. If they see a moth on the water they want to dive in after it.

Pepe, our Newfie/Border Collie mix loves to go boating. She's seems to know exactly what to do--go to sleep. This summer, while sailing the Y-boat, she found a nice comfy sail bag to sleep on. And we took her out in the Weekender once and she crawled into the cabin and slept most of the time.
