You want bilge?
The whaling ships from the Victoria Whaling Co., in the 1800 hunreds, were given simple names: Red, Blue, Yellow, etc.
The Greenpeace anti whaling ship was named Rainbow Warrior.

that's a 10-4 good buddy
Greenpeace gets a lot of flak, but I honestly beleive if it wasn't for them the Aleutian's would be radio active and there wouldn't be any whales left. Local boys who done good.

Hear hear.
But something has to be done about the seals. The Gulf Islands are overrun with them. There are thousands of them. Anywhere you go you'll see dozens of them. They are eating all the bottom fish.
And here I thought this was about Jeff Gordon.

Actually, studies have shown that transient (more the ocean going type) cetations are more likely to eat seals. The J,K,and L pods we have around here year round, like their rock cod and the salmon who stay near the shore year round. Not all salmon head off shore.
Thats why I said "migrating" as opposed to "resident" orcas :D

I was on Saltspring last spring and there was a gorgeous little cream yellow lapstrake "folkboatish" type vessel about 25' long; do you know any thing about her? She was moored at the pub. I thought I saw her at the Vancouver wooden boat festival a couple months later.

Yes I have seen that boat here and there at the local marinas. I'll watch for it and let you know what I can find out.
