Took this image of the brigitine "FLY" in FT Lauderdale Fla. in 72. I wonder if this mans dream came true. Where is the "Fly" now sailing the seas, or sadly, rotting away in some back creek.

Thought it would make a great cover of some boat magazine or even a paint promo.

Thanks for an interesting picture. smile.gif 30 years is a long time but something tells me this boat isn't rotting away anywhere. It would be great if someone on the forum knows the fate of this boat. What a beauty.

It was 30 years ago. The owner/ painter can't remember the name was at the River Bend marina. in Lauderdale. The boat about about 55'. His intention was to sail eventualy to the South Pacfic. Maybe he's in your neck of the world right now. I hope so. ;)

That's me on the New River at Sailboat Bend. I had a lot more hair then. Wonder......
