She was going to be burned. Lying forlornly on a heap of scrap piled during the end-of-season cleanup, she was one of several handy little "jolly boats," as the Navy informally called them. At this Sea Cadet camp on Lake of Two Mountains, west of Montreal, and at naval premises across the country they were used for various waterfront tasks before, during and just after World War II.
