I'm sorry to see the Marr II driven aground with holes in her topside. She was once Ernest K. Gann's boat. I had a lovely sail in her a couple of years back. She's huge on deck and inside (A magnificent mahogany "great room" master's cabin). When sailing in a 15kt breeze (gentle heel, no spray) I thought she was a bit loggy until I noticed a 24ft sloop come alongside. She looked like she was screaming along in half a gale, just to keep up. I looked down at her, laid over, very wet and people hanging onto things, then realized that Gann's old ketch was doing rather well, and without effort.

Does the Oland family still own her? Presumably they can afford to repair her....
