That's certainly unusual.

A wood boat?

A Fir-rarri?

Maybe a Lumber-ghini?

Are those tail lights wood? I guess if they were thin enough, you'd get amber.

That guy has sculpted a whole series of wooden water vehicles. Another one is an open top ~1930s roadster.

The series has been floating (haha!) around the net for years. I'll see if I can dig up a site hosting them.

Ah, here we go. His name is Livio De Marchi, a venetian sculptor. His web site is:

http://www.liviodemarchi.com/

Warning: don't go there if you have work to do. You may not be back for a while. :D

I did a ferry trip from Wichita to Brisbane via the North Alantic. We were re-routed down over the east coast of Italy into Athens. As we neared the Adriatic Sea, I remarked to co-pilot, that place down there is flooded. Turned out it was Venice.
