According to the 'phone area code, the guy is about an hour west of me in the Annapolis Valley nearby the Bay of Fundy.

Some dreams are so easily conceived yet so difficult to complete...

Or maybe his wife just divorced him and took everything he had because he was spending to much time on that damn boat.

More likely she hasn't done that yet. She's just threatening to. If she'd already served him with the papers he'd probably be keeping the boat. Alas.

Possible marital issues aside, it sure looks like a great project -- SO much better than the usual compost heap / wreck that many folks start with. At least here you can clearly see what you are getting into!

Sweet indeed. While I have some idea of the cost of the planking, I wonder how much it would cost to rig ...

If I was the wife, I'd keep the boat, but that's just me.

Speaking of prized sports cars

Parked to the right of a new Z today. It was somewhat conspicious, being the bright yellow.

As I unbuckled, I noticed it was metallic. Rare for yellow, I thought, and I began to focus on the details of the car.

I already knew from casual observation that the shape was good, but I was frankly taken aback by the detailing.

Not only was the paint smoother than pooled mercury, the panel cutlines, door handle, wheels, tires, brake rotors & calipers all seemed perfectly proportionate.

There must be a lot of people at Nissan who really love their jobs - and it is showing up in the product. Well done, says I!

Ross

PS: Sorry for the hijack, Norske.

I gave a friend's wife the T shirt imprinted:

I got a wooden boat for my husband.

Best trade I ever made.
