I'm looking at a new GPS and am not enthralled with all the map interface stuff, so I started looking at GPS's that just give the data, which led me to look at the Suunto. Some rumors that the M9 is out of production and that in Feb Suunto decided not to roll out the M9i but anyway . . .
Anyone actually have and use one?
Edited to add: I've learned that the M9i is indeed not in production, no new M9's being made, and all existing M9's supposedly sold.
Dang.

Ian,
I picked up this discontinued Standard Horizon gps at a Waste Marine tent sale:

Just a basic gps like you mentioned, but the case is way superior to most of the other handhelds I have fondled. Perhaps there are still some floating around somewhere. . .It was just under a c-note.

Most GPS devices have several screen views to choose from including ones that show only data, no maps. Some will let you customize what data feilds you see on certain screens.
