Hi folks,

I'm not able to post attachments. How do I go about getting permission to do that? I'd like to post some photos of my dory project to get some advice.

Thanks,
Nathan

Hi Nathan. Welcome.

To post pictures, they must be uploaded on line to your website (if you have one) or to a public site that allows linking such as www.imagestation.com

When you get over that hurdle [have two browser windows open so you can have the Forum and you image handy]. Right click on the image; select properties; copy [not by hand but by highlighting - right clicking- and selecting "copy"; then in the WBF reply box, right click again and select "paste". That should copy something that looks likes this "http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid202/p08aa72c55eadc19e45bc8f14960eed6c/efc04a47.jpg"

Hint: for an image to work, it's going to start with http and end with jpg.

So if I copy that string above, paste it into the reply box and type right in front of the http and right at the end - do not skip any spaces, I get this:

From what I can tell, on the new Forum you do the following:
1. Click the "User CP" link in the browser window in the top left of the menu bar.
2. Click the "Edit Options" link about 1/4 of the way down the left column.
3. In the "Misc Options" at the bottom of the next page, select "Enhanced Interface" from the pulldown list.
4. In this interface, click the "insert photo" icon --> a little yellow square icon with the stamp in the upper right corner, the mountains in the lower center.

As always, the image MUST be on a website somewhere -- i.e. when you copy the image location and paste it in, it must start with "http:// "
