I have the molds for building Catherine, Rich Kolin's design, and the ladder jig I built. Does anybody want them?

Here's another picture of my Grace:

They are free for the asking, just a little north of Seattle. I could possibly deliver them, if you're close.

I would suggest they be verified against your own full-size body sections, which can be developed from the info in Rich's book, Building Catherine (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0937822620/sr=8-1/qid=1144961904/ref=sr_1_1/002-3101378-0603217?%5Fencoding=UTF8). These molds have a bit of history, I got them from Rich, and they were used to build the original (well, except for station #2, which I built myself).

Send me a PM if you're interested.

edited to add: Oh, yeah, I also have a steam box if you want that too. Can you tell I'm moving, and have to clear out all my stuff?

Chuck G.
I would love to have them
I have no place to put anything and I have little expereince with the good equipment although I would like to learn.
Am sure someone out there will grab them.
Nice offer!

I can't use them either but it's a generous offer for sure, and suspect someone will take you up on this soon.

Grace looks beautiful btw!

Grace is how long?

Grace is about 14 and half feet. Check out Rich's book for lots more details. With 8' spoons, she rows like a dream. I've added the optional sprits'l rig, which sets boomless with a 12' sprit. Hope to get some pix of her undersail this Spring. I would heartily recommend her as a project for an advanced beginner.

A lovely boat, Chuck! I was lucky enough to pick up Rich's book at the Oakland West Marine "damaged goods" store -- highly recommended.

This is a neat idea. I got a set of molds, the transom pattern and a strongback
for a Shellback dinghy from a gentleman in Massachusetts. When I was done I passed them on to someone else. Before I did it, I put the original builder's name
hometown and launch date on one of the molds, and then added mine. The only condition I asked of the man I passed them off to, was that he pass them on to someone else when he was done and that he add his name to the list.

I also picked up a set of molds for a Caledonia yawl, but when I realized I wasn't
going to be able to build it, I passed them on to someone who was taking the 2 week Caledonia course last summer at Woodenboat School.

I hope your molds find a good home. I'd take you up on it but I'm 3000 miles
away!!

Chuck, I'd love to ... but quite realistically, can't enter into a building project 'till my house renos are done. Shoot - the boat looks simply lovely.

Nice idea, passing them along. I picked up a set of molds a few years ago. After I looked at them in the shop for a few months, I passed them on to another person also. I guess I realized that I already had enough projects going. ;) ;)

I hope somebody takes you up on this gracious offer, I still have too many other things in the shop. :)
