Aye!...Went and had my right elbow replaced last week, and jeesh!!...What an interesting piece of hardware!..I'll post a few less gory pic's in a day or two after I bounce them to the computer. A wedge-shaped stainless imbed was inserted into the end of the radiius after sawing off the radial head I had from the factory..What's different is that the working end of the replacement then has a ball joint that receives the new stainless and teflon radial head replacement. Seems like in theory I'll have a little more range than original due to the ball-joint, but I'll be fine with just havin' a halfway-workin' elbow again!..This was operation number six in the elbow, and hopefully the last. Next up, a 'Carticell' treatment for my left knee, as the scope job wasn't enough, but I'm too active for a replacement at this time..This round will do another cleanout, then a biopsy. About the time we head down the ICW, the Dr. will go back in, clean it one more time, then plant these cloned cells over the crack.. A patch of tendon is placed over them, and I neeed to be really good at not loading that stuff up. Back to the elbow replacement, the parts seem to be working well, but I can't really tell much, it's only been a week....

What, no silicon bronze parts seized with tarred yacht marline???

;0 )

Best of luck with your new .6 million $ elbow! I've had the scope job on the knee, but no joints replaced....yet.

Geeze Gary, don't ever try to fly with out a full medical dossier at hand.

:D

When is all this surgery gonna end?

Lookin at ya, one would think you weigh less than a handfull of Planters Peanuts!

BUT, with all that iron mongery youse is carryin' you are probably considered as live ballast by the CG on Royaliste.;)

They won't let him fly. He sets off the metal detectors like he's carrying a personal arsenal. :D

Sheesh Gary, that sounds rough.

BTW is the Royaliste in Santa Barbara? I'm out in California visiting friends and wondered if that was her in the harbor.

Ahoy Dave!..Still two more; one one my left knee again, cloning cells, and an ugly re-sectioning of the left wrist..then it's over!..This one's no piece of cake; takin' it as easy as I can...starting to use the arm, getting good rotation etc..Noah, we are in Oxnard, 30 minutes downstream on 101 from SB..we'll be here this week, filming a documentary on fri and sat-sun., then tear down the yards, and haul her the first of May, and ship her to Cleveland on the 4th....
