Hugs to Phyllis, family, and grand neighbors.
Here's to Norm, the finast of grand neighbors; a model for all.

Gosh, a year only?
Seems like 10 years since O&O Midwest was amongst us.
I was so glad that Scot put that photo of Prairie Islander in the Header for the Forums.
Be Well "P", your sweet note is still with SWIMPAL and me.

I echo Shane's thoughts, and hope you are well Phillis. I never met Norm except for the forum but he was the inspiration for my boat and the hours of pleasure she has given me. I think I might name the new one 'Norm', or then again 'Messenger'. Suitable I think.

On the day of a big tax break. I'll bet there is a heavenly snicker drifting around.
I am very happy that Scot keeps the flagship at the top of the page.
I miss him.

The support is given with love to you and your family from Norms other family here we give it freely and sincerely so you are more than welcome
There is I think no need to feel overwhelmed by the picture in the forum header... I believe it was a great gesture on behalf of Woodenboat to a forumite who gave a lot to the members to his community and what better memorial to such a man than to have his hand built by himself boat as the entrace scene? Very appropriate very fitting and a show of our utmost respect to your husband our mate
We all hope that you and your family are well and living happy and healthy lives with all the best that that implies... and for myself I hope you continue to smile that beautiful smile whenever you journey out in Prairie Islander which I hope is often
Be well and love to you and yours Phyllis

Norm, in the boat he built, the grandneighbors he guided, and the good words he spoke here, represents the best of what has drawn many of us to gather together in good company.
I hope he and Darryl Jones (Dasboat) are having a good sail together in whatever follows the strife and and confusion here.
Good men both, and sorely missed.
Very well said, Jeff. They are both missed..They offered a kind word and calming advice. I miss them both.:(

It doesn't seem that long. Then again, I haven't swung by in a while meself. I'm glad to see Phyllis is still putting up with you guys. Phyllis, how'd you swing "Junior Member" status?

Guys like Norm are the reason this forum, like any proper community, works. The world needs a critical mass of guys like him.

He will always be missed. It was a pleasure to 'know' him on the forum but a much greater pleasure to have personally met him.

I only met Norm once, at the South Haven (MI) wooden boat show. We had a nice conversation which I've never forgotten. He was one nice man.
