I am currently replacing zinc plank to frame screws. Where a screw snaps off ideally the remainder should be dug out. Is there an issue
with epoxy filling the cavity and rescrewing a little offset with silicon bronze? Would there be any interaction with the remaining wasted shank? I could use the toothed cotter pin method
of removal-is it worth the hassle?
Vessel is an edge glued strip planker that is going to be epoxy/glass sheathed.

Can you elaborate a bit more on the "toothed cotter pin method"? I have broken screw shanks to remove and have tried several methods that leave a lot to be desired. Looking for some other methods ;)

Thanks....Mark

I doubt interaction would be a problem. Only thing I could see is the old screw might get damp and rust--bronze or no. Doesn't seem worth worrying about, though.

You can make them from the spring steel drive in cotters. File in the teeth. (For left hand drive) Tedious tho'.
