I have just joined, and would like to ask if anyone has ever heard of a boat built in 1954, by Hathaway, and is 35ft long? where can one find information on these boats?
this will be my first sail boat and my 3rd and largest wooden boat.

thank you
Vic

Okay back to me normal lingo

Gidday mate! pull up a pew grab a stubbie and have a yarn you'll be jake mate  there now that feels beddera!

As for the boat? no idea but this is the place to come to find out... rare indeed is the boat builder designer or whatever that these jokers cant find out pretty quickly... just keep nudgeing them (ahem that means keep your thread up where they can see it!) Some people dont get on as much as others and you need to keep it focused else they will miss it amid the general mayhem and flurry of threads that can occur

Good luck!

oooh almost forgot... you got this boat right? So... ahem eerr got porn? eer I mean pics of the boat!! Pics are always ALWAYS good value and a brilliant way of drawing the blokes outta the woodwork sawdust and muck to respond ;)

A Google search for "1954 hathaway 35 boat" turned up this link:

http://www.nantucketsailing.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=124&Itemid=112

Down a ways on the page is a builder "Hathaway", the designer for that one was Alden so...a Google search for "boat designer Alden" came up with:

http://www.aldendesigns.com/

Maybe that'll get you started. Many other links turn up. Then you can click on the Google images button also.

Have fun!

Thanks, I never thought I would get such a fast response through here.
I going to be the owner pending inspection Saturday evening. so I will not have pictures till after wards.

So far, there are only 2 Hathaways I know of. one is owned by a fellow in Florida.
I found this one via a Coast Guardsmen, and he manged to get shipped out to the mid. East.
I'll try and keep an ear open to any advice, on theses boats.

thank you all for the help and advice.

Vic

P.S. sorry I do not quite understand the Austrian stuff.
