I have someone interested in my Gardner engine - but it involves shipping it overseas to the UK from Vancouver,BC.
Any ideas how much shipping would be?
Know any shipping agencies that would carry it there?

Do you understand that the reason Gardners are so valuable is that they are very highly regarded engines? I would be absolutely sure that it is impossible to use it.

My Beta Marine engine came across the pond via air frieght, American Airlines. I don't kow what the cost was, it was buried in the engine price.
Regardless make sure that ALL the oils and fuel are removed and the engine sanitized otherwise it would be classed as hazadous (higher cost) and the bomb sniffers would delay it at customs.

I paid about $300 to ship my 7 hp engine from New Jersey to Vancouver. Total weight was about 80 lbs. That was using Purolator I think. All the shipping companies will ship it.. Fedex, Purolator, whatever. Do remove all liquids though. I shipped an engine also once and they abondoned it at their warehouse in Winnipeg refusing to take it any further which was about 2 hrs from its destination, because there was a very small amount of diesel left in the day tank. Not sure how that's different from the truck it was riding on but yeah, they are brutal. Just build a solid shipping crate for it and bolt it down to the bottom. I also had a quote for shipping one of those Dolphin gas engines from England to vancouver and that was a rough quote of £350.

In regards to my earlier comments...should mention that I heard someone paid 30k for a Gardner. Presumably larger than yours but still....
They have a reputation as running forever.
