Three-4 years ago on my last trip to Thailand, I decided I wanted something better than the cement "bomb-sight" toilet that is assembled by locals...The cabin is located in Chiang Mai, in the mountains of Northwestern Thailand, is about 1200 sq. feet with a full 8 foot deck all around...and stands on "stilts" about 9 feet off the ground. The well, water pressure system was easy to fabricate, 4 large 120 watt solar panels recharge batteries for the lighting that was changed later to LED's, but the toilet was a problem..
I purchased an Airhead Toilet, that has been operating continuously with 3-4 people using it now for those 3 1/2-4 years....today I was notified that it broke......and repairs cost the ungodly sum of 37 dollars U.S. by the time the part was delivered to Udorn to be picked up by friend Terry, that overseas the property....and the product has had no complaints during operation.....the website for those that might be interested is for airheadtoilets...ya gotta google it....

second product was The Ultimate sole, a high gloss finish, non skid, for cabin soles...
Originally I was intending to refinish the soles in Tana Mari....just before things stopped working in my body....I had purchased two quarts and the same of the sealer.....I never used it....eventually a couple of years ago gave it to friend Jack. He had stripped the sole in his Hans Christian 43 and refinished using the stuff as per instructions...he sez it's the best stuff ever for cabin soles, fine gloss finish....and the best traction ever.....

Now...I have a product someone was inquiring about called Nyolac....gotta find something to slop it on fer experiments.....

Quite a few of the aluminium boat guys have their whole boat sprayed with Nyalic (I presume it is the same stuff) to all accounts it stands up well. Aint cheap though.

One word - "Everwear"

I Googled it without success, but will get you a can if you want. I expect it is a two-part spray application, but the production folks I work for went with it a couple of years ago.

I hissed and spit and looked down my nose - even shrugged my shoulders and let out a disdainful sigh - but then we were out on a sea trial and the rigger's tool box - 40 lbs + slid from galley to nav station without leaving a mark

These days Margo doesn't say anything about the floor finish - especially as it cleans with Windex, Fantastic, Pledge (multipurpose) - whatever I have handy...

Margo...the finish may be hard, but is it/does it have good traction underfoot?
