I need a momentary-on / off rocker switch for my horn. It's a 2 blade, 10A, 250VAC switch, rough dimension of the panel opening are 7/16" x 1-1/16". Corrosion killed my current one.

McMaster-Carr has a bunch, some rated for high-pressure washdown. http://www.mcmaster.com/ Part No. 6797T24 might work, but it's a little too large for the opening.

Think I found it on Digi-key, which brought me to E-switch. Thanks for the help, Chuck and Keith.

I find a rocker switch much harder to use as a horn switch.
Tot-Tot as if to say Hi has a diffrent meaning than Toooooot- Toooooot as in get the heck out of the way.
A push button switch work's much better, especially if you can steady rest your hand on the dash in some way.
Here is mine with a Red rubber protrctor cap on it. My hand is steady rested on the side of the pod.
You will see the switch in the upper left.

Problem is I already have the hole cut out in the panel on the helm and I am severely limited in room. It's the first rocker switch in a bank of 5 or 6. Are there sqaure horn buttons or very small round ones I can slip into the existing rectangular opening and make an adapter for?
R4F-BLK-RED-EF0 (The rocker switch I need) is out of stock...:(.

Are you going to get a water proof switch?
If it's not able to stand a direct blast of the washdown hose, you'l be back for another one soon.

My last one lasted 18 years without a problem, through washes and sea spray. The helm is pretty much protected anyway and an exact replacement (if I can find one) should work very well. All the other rocker switches are exactly the same...I'd be more concerned if my bilge pump or nav light switch stopped working...I have a backup for my backup horn...
