Just getting ready to purchase stock and having used Boulter I was wondering if anyone had a good/bad opinion on maine coast or a good contact there.

I bought some 4mm Okoume from MCL a few years ago. My vague recollection is that Boulter had a wider selection and better prices, but ya gotta drive into deepest Slumberville to get there, so it depends on how much stock you're buying whether the trip is worth it.

we use Maine Coast almost exclusivly at work because they have their own delivery service thats very cheap. Quaility is good and they will take it back if theres a problem.

Atlantic Hardwood in Portland sells the Joubert occume. Maine Coast sells the Shelmarine. The Shelmarine is about 35% more expensive and is a little bit nicer in my opinion. The Maine Coast people have donated plywood to Compass Project's Family Boatbuilding Festival. :)

I used the Shelmarine from Maine Coast. Ordered it one day , showed up the next , no delivery charge, no scratches or dings. I have not used the Jourbert but I was impressed with the Shelmarine's consistent quality in the sheets I got.

I like them. You get the quality you ordered and they deliver.
