Most of you webhounds have probably seen all these boats for sale but I had no idea there was this many in captivity. I just liked looking at it for the pictures.

The Canadian boats are quite fine. As a rule they were built by smaller shops and many are custom built.

On a Canadian cruise in our trailerable powerboat, my wife and I launched in Lake Muskoka and were at the Classic Runabout Show in Gravenhurst. It was a feast for any eyes that appreciate the old classic gentleman's runabouts of long gone days. Maybe 80 or 90 of them in the water from 15 feet on up. I thought most were professionally restored and maintained for well heeled folk with summer homes on Muskoka and other lakes. One was an older racer with a WW1 Liberty aircraft engine that roared around the lake after the show.

Anyone in reach of Gravenhurst, Ontario that is interested in these craft should put this show on their schedule in mid July. I can't afford one but can afford to look and have built my own small 13 foot version of a gentleman's runabout.
