You guys were great!
Absolutely beautiful country out there. I've been to Seattle & Lake Union and driven Interstate 5 down to Vancouver, etc. but the drive up 101 and 20 to Port Townsend was spectacular!
Like Capt. Jake, I wished there had been more time to visit with folk (and more pictures) although nothing I've ever taken comes close to the standard set by Mark Delbrueck  WOW!
Although fleeting, I had an absolutely fabulous time getting to visit with folk, shake hands, and hug necks!
Aunt Jean talked all the way home about the show, how nice everyone was, and the tour she got of Greg's boat. Some of her comments on the drive home:
"That one man [Lew] was just so friendly. Whether he knew folks or not, he just shook their hand and made them feel welcome."
"It was just so interesting listening to everyone talk about their boats. I can't believe they all work so hard." [thinking to myself at that point, 'if she only knew the real blood, sweat, and tears...']
"They were all just delightful."
So basically, you've been pronounced friendly, hardworking, and delightful. Pretty impressive & I couldn't have said it better. :D
P.S. to Lew - you may not hold my Bite Me Bait Company shirt hostage. When I realized I'd left it on Winifred I figured it was a karma thing because my manners were deplorable and I arrived empty handed with nothing for our wonderful host.
That being said (and you acknowledging custody and offering to send it to me), I will absolutely and positively make another trip at the first opportunity. No need to hold my favorite denim shirt hostage. That shirt (and its predecessor, which I wore until it was a pile of tattered threads) and I are the equivalent of Linus and his blanket. Address to follow via PM. ;)
