I am in the early stages of building a Yankee Tender. Somewhere I heard a rumor that there was a standard modification for a sailing version. Has anyone heard or seen plans/description? Thank you for any help in advance. This is my first attempt and I am very excited.

The trick will be putting a daggerboard through a cross planked bottom...going with 12mil ply bottom would eliminate this issue. Otherwise, it would be straightforward to draw the boat to a 1' = 1 1/2" scale and draw a sailrig (lug i would think) and place it such that the Center of Effort is aligned with the daggerboard. Design people, would you want the CE just aft of the edge of the daggerboard like you'd do w/ a centerboard? She would probably go but not fast. It'd be a fun project to design and build.

Cheers,
