That mast looks a mite too tall for comfort!

I can tell you that I corresponded with the owner a few years ago.
It is a Finnish 75 Sq.meter. Built 1917 in Sweden. Designed by Erik Salander.... one of the very good (and more extreme) sq.meter designers. It is about 50' loa.
Still a very fast boat by today's standards. I see it rates LYS 126 ... which is about the same as the faster planing hulls (for example - Melges 25 or a Banner)
His website is very good. Even some nice film clips.

What a weapon.
Lagspiller, did you see my post on Ranger( the nz one).. book review a while back.
There's a sq metre heritage in that boat that may be of interest to you.

Really? Couldn't you open his site - or was there something wrong with my linking? I think I took everything with me to the new site, but the server got hacked a month ago and I am not sure everything is up and running again.
Here is the link to Monbat's video clips...

They are WELL worth downloading. Check especially the last one - named Classic Yacht Event -98. Makes your eyes mist over.
I had a nice run in my 22 yesterday and held a good 40' modern boat all day. But Mongbat's boat is 12-15% faster than mine.

No, I missed that. Guess I've been too busy on the MC forum to catch everything here. Thanks for the heads up.

Those video clips are awesome. You guys should be very proud of your fleets. The boats look gourgeous and seem to sail through the water effortlessly. Very graceful boats and sailors.
Thanks again.
