Swifty had a problem with a blood clot and infection in a leg which resulted in amputation of a lower leg about 2 months ago. First it was taken below the knee, but problems developed and it was necessary to remove the knee also. He was doing reasonably well in therapy the last I heard.
My dentist had a knee replaced and shared a room with Swifty in rehab.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I heard somewhere, somehow that there was a serious problem but didn't know the details.

Thanks for the heads up. I really began to admire him after the nice write-up several years ago in WB.
