I prefer the "Classic " designs ,without those strange bows (and sterns ),good boats though.

Thats Tom from up on Georgian Bay.They're headed down the ICW from L.Erie for Florida(?).....
Nice Pahi42 that he's just refitted with a Schooner Soft Wing Gaff rig like the ones on the newer Tiki designs.

Yea Peter I agree... the old ones were far better from my aethetic viewpoint... however these newer designs have more room downstairs and a somewhat roomier appearance... still theyre not the Tehini or Tiki are they?
Mind you that big Spirit of Gaia of James's is one shyteload of boat!!
Good to see a Wharram getting some attention here
The Wharram designs are about the only cats I can think of that I like the look of. If I lived someplace where a huge open deck made sense I would want one for sure.

Thanks for the information. We didn't want to bother them with questions since they were trying to get a hook down for the night. Seemed like a nice bunch of people (all smiles).

In my doubting moments I wish I had started building a Tanenui 28' .it would be finished by now and just right for one bloke with a sleeping bag .

Thankfully theyre only "moments" eh Peter! :D
I still wander back and forth in my "moments" from a Tiki to whatever and back again... they have their qualities although some are staunchly dead set against them... they definantly have asthetic beauty

Shane ,We've got two hulls almost done,ya almost doesn't count I know, hope to finish the glassing of the inside of the second strip planked R.Woods Eclipse hull this weekend...Then the bulkheads are cut already ,then we'll be frozen outside and just piddle until we get going again next year .
The Missus had a big operation last year and that set us back alot ,but we seem to be back on the building road again.,it's been a steep learning curve but now I 've found I love looking at and building boats ,it's a curve thing.
I almost buildt a Tiki 38 in ply glass ,but got cold feet after buying the plans and building a shelter for it,I changed my mind at the alter,er ,my wife hasn't forgotten either as she was and is still fond of the Tiki 38,the R.Woods Eclipse is a great boat and I made the correct choice for us I know!
