I saw an ad for this little skiff in the local paper, and decided to check it out. The owner did build it, but I failed to ask him where he got the plans. From what I could gather, he either built it while in Lousiana, or at least pick up the cypress planks used for the sides down there. He mentioned it had some time running rivers up north in the interior (of Alaska.)
Not sure I'll buy it, as it really isn't suitable for the waters around here. But for $600 the engine and trailer are probably worth it.
If nothing else, it was a good excuse to check out a wood boat and talk to another wooden boat fan. Also, it gives me a reason to post pictures...

The owner was proud of the oars, and said that both came from the same tree, and he shaped them himself.
