I liked the one on the Huckins 36. Didn't know there were any of that model around anymore. Wished there were photos of the interior.

The latest issue of WB # 193 has a whole article about the big cat KATHLEEN. They gloss over what I consider her major drawbacks, and they even photograph her interior to look bight and airy, IT'S NOT !!! If you look close you can see the flash bounce from all the strobes they had to use to get a decent photo.

Joe.. I went back and looked.. Umm.. you are right.. but that still does not make me change my mind about cats in general. I like cats.. Have only been aboard Ian's but his boat is sweet.. I mean sweet....
Yhen again, I like Friendship sloops... schooners..., Concordias.. ( drool )... a lot of beautiful woodies....
Maybe I am not as particular as I should be.. LOL.

Ians is WHOLE different cat than KATHLEEN. I might give up Tidbit for Ian's Marmalade ;)

I like to chase moonbeams too Joe..:) The Marmalade is one damn'd pretty boat......
I'd like to see more interior photos in every article! Kathleen is a pretty sweet looking cat, looks much better in the water than in the ads for Beetle in the boatbuilders classified.

Hmmm...why haven't I heard this before? You'd think I woulda heard something somewhere....;)
I was excited by the performance skiff (the P-T 15) she's expensive at 13K. I sailed an RS 400 in the Uk, I think it's a much better sorted boat and is a little cheaper, the PT needs an assymetric
Here's an RS http://www.rssailing.com/images/400top2.jpg
I think Wassa and I are a minority of two, who like fast wet dinghies, the RS (yes it's fibreglass) is a great boat.
Some comparisons
RS 400 /P-T 15
Sail Main and jib 159 /143
Spinnaker 150 /N/A
Length 14' 10" /15' 3"
Beam 6' 6" /5' 11"
Hull weight 187lb /164 lb
I tried to lay the comparisons out as a table but the forum keeps formatting them, hence the slashes.

Make that three.Since my preferred class is made of the same stuff as the RS400(and a little faster!)I don't mention it too much on this forum.

I'd like my copy.

There are a few of us on here who want to do more than bob about.
They don't import the RS 400 into America, performance boats don't seem to have a market.
What do you sail John; I'd guess a Laser 4000?

build it with "PL400" and they will sink.
