If somehow I could come up with the money to buy this boat. Maybe by selling part of my collection. How much would it cost to have it transported? The boat is in Washington state in I am in central New York.

Damn pretty.....
My father had an entirely varnished boat.. LOL. I remember a lot of college vacations with sandpaper dust all over me. I love the varnished look but I have a limit..
ps.. He would not allow me to use power tools sanding.. no way.. all by hand.min 8 coats with sanding between.LOL.
And Mr. Charlie.. ya gotta dream.. If you don't you don't go nowhere.. :)

Here is the boat I always wanted, however I am doubtful of my ability to handle a boat like her. Maybe someday I could at least go for a ride on one.

Charlie.. wrong attitude.... Doubting one's ability is good and the first step towards realizing you can...Caution is good but....
Umm.. look at me.. well ya know what I mean.. I'm looking at a boat that I have some doubts whether I can handle it.. It's a personal mind game.... Ya look, ya think, ya dream.. and voila....Ya do it.. you learn...you improve...ya do thinks that you did not think originally was possible....
Don't cut yourself off at the knees....and think that you CAN'T....
And if ya don't think I am scared out of my kilt... ya got another thing coming....:)

Charlie,
The E-scow has to be one of the sweetest boats to sail, if I could get over there I'd jump on that boat. If you're willing to dump her a couple times you'll get the hang in no time. There's nothing cooler than a 28' boat with five people on board on full plane with the centerboards resonating like a plane about to take off! Absolutely great boats!
On boat transport; check out uship.com. a comparable boat just made a similar trip for just shy of 3k.

Charlie, you could send the Center an email and ask about shipping. No doubt they'll have a line on someone out there. That's one sweet hull. Sort of a small Dragon. Very nice. - Norm
