Umm, Harry Scheels.. in Rockport.. Nice guy.. Really thought he would be able to make a go of huis boatworks.. Lets see, only built boats for what seven years?

Henry Scheel was the designer and he had a long career AFAIK. Penobscot Boatworks was owned by a guy (family?) named Rheault and they built a whole lot of boats both power and sail. It seems that some of their records are at the Hampton Mariner's Mueum.

rbjarr. thought he owned it.. When I used to stop at the factory, he was the only one I ever saw or talked to... just assumed... But I was young then...

Sold for $10,400. Looks like somebody got a nice deal.
Cannell, Payne and Page listed one for $19K about ten years ago so I'd say it's a pretty good price, too. Not sure she needs a wheel however. The tiller steering on the boat I know seems like enough to me. The split cockpit fore and aft is kind of interesting. Here's another picture of the boat that just sold before the cosmetic work was done to her. It shows the cockpit arrangement more clearly. The mast kind of blocks the companionway however.
