Doesn't cost an arm and a leg: is there such a thing? The new ones are $350, and then there are the antiques :eek: But they are cool, and I want one!!

You could use a porthole compass or a hand bearing compass. I find myself using my little yellow GPS.

Well...I have a new, original Ritchie, still in the box, that I purchased as a spare/replacement...but I can assure you that you would not like the price tag on it either.........look at the new binnacle ritchie...a couple of grand, complete....

That would be the practical thing to do. . .Wouldn't cost me any money either.:) Maybe I'll come across one on Ebay, and the seller won't know what they've got.
