Hey Fellow Forumites,

Check out my new boatbuilding blog. I'm pretty excited about it! It's a cool way to keep people posted on whats happing around the shop.

Looks good Brahm. I am also working on a professional website/blog but don't plan on publishing it for another few months. Keep it up. Congrats for being young and doing what you love (me too...32 and switched into boatbuilding a year ago).

Cheers,
Clint

I saw the Hilmark boats at Port Townsend and was really impressed, and that's to say the least. Great work, and objects much to be desired. I can't say enough nice things so I'll leave it to others to say more, but if you haven't seen the work they're turning out up there, you're in for a treat when you do. Added: What's your relationship to Hilmark Brahm? Are you working there?

Nice looking boats. Do I see a bit of Ken Douglas' design in those?

Hilford is the owner of Hilmark Boats and I am his employee...
As for Ken Douglas, No, we dont build any of his boats. I believe his boats are more bluff at the bow. Most of the designs we build come from the east coast, except for the Tyee rowboat which is a local (campbell river) design from way back... I've been to Ken's shop, he's a pretty neat guy, he's sure built a lot of boats in his day... Thanks for checking out the blog! Thanks for the complements Lew!

BTW, beautiful work on the Ducktrap you guys did a while back, inspired my wife to put purpleheart on the back of the Thames skiff I built for her.
