You BROKE an Estwing claw hammer?? Are you sure you didn't have a pipe over the handle for leverage.. or were hitting the handle with a maul???
In any case, well done!!

Ahh. If true, that makes me feel better. Now I can relax about shaking Margo's hand when I next see her ;)

And I thought SWMTMH was one tough woman. The next time we meet I'll be bowing and scraping as I back away...

Maybe you should stick to Craftsman hand tools. They are guaranteed for life, you know. You can break as many as you want and they will just give you a new one in exchange. I know... I've done it several times. Last time around, I brought in a rachet socket handle that had a broken pawl, rendering it useless. They didn't even blink at the dents in it where I'd used it as a hammer! Now, don't buy anything from Craftsman that has a cord attached, but for hand tools, you'll do fine.

Hughman and I will be leaving Brooksville about 7:00 am so we should be in your area about 10:30 or so. I'll give you a call when we get close to St. Augustine. Looking forward to seeing you!
