Anyone know of a good marine supply store (looking for paint) in the New London Norwich CT area? A phone # would be a big help.

Thanks

Well, the kneejerk response is Defender Industries. it's a bit of a haul for me from new haven, but whenever my shopping list adds up to more than $75 or so it's worth it for me to pass 4 other stores on the way. from new london or norwich, I'd think they'd be the no-brainer.

but I would kinda assume that you already know about them. have you had a problem with them or something?

In my experience, unless you happen to be near one of the good discount places, you will save money by mail ordering paint from someplace like Jamestown Distributors (http://www.jamestowndistributors.com).

I would suggest ordering your paint from Kirby's in New Bedford. Do a search of the Forum (upper right hand corner) and you'll find lots. http://www.kirbypaint.com/

Thanks

I discovered Defender Industries on the web. In the past I have ordered from Jamestown distributors, but needed the product today.

They didn't have the gallon I needed, but gave me four quarts at the gallon price. In gratitude, I browsed through the warehouse and left some additional cash there.

Thanks for the help.

now that you know how to find the place (half the battle), keep your ear to the ground. about once a year or so (but it never seems to be at the same TIME of the year) defender has a big tent-sale out in the parking lot, and there are some excellent bargains to be had.
