Need a source for a piece of white oak..
dressed 4"x10"x4'. Stern deadwood for an H-23.
I recommend Jim Aaron at 413-259-1668 in Shutesbury, Massachusetts. If you are on Prince Edward Island, I don't know how that would work. You could call Harry Bryan in NB at 506-755-2486 and see what they have to say on the subject if you couldn't work something out with Jim. All these people will appreciate your choice of vessel -- I certainly do. If all else fails I can get a piece from Jim and see if I can get it to you.

I believe that lumber is duty-free (industrial raw material.) Of course, that doesn't get around the $CA/$US exchange rate or transportation costs.
White Oak grows on PEI, doesn't it? Surely there's a local sawmill that can mill it out for you.
Can check the local lumber yards here in N.S. if that would help. You could probably arrange shipment or even pick it up.
