Neat, but the oars are about a foot and a half too short.
It baffles me why so many people build little rowboats, but just don't understand how to set up a proper set of oars to make for comfortable as well propulsion...

It looks to me like the couple in the pictures aren't having much fun. Sad. I bet the oars came with the boat when they had someone build it(?) Oar length often has to be determined by experimentation and buying a new set if yours are too short can get pricey. Nonetheless, I'd think that comfortable oar lengths for the Beach Pea are known by now. Perhaps the builder missed or ignored that bit.
I totally agree RB. they don't look like they are having much fun. They got stubby oars and a rinky dink sail and are struggling to go no where very fast at all. Consequently the boat isn't all that much fun, so it is for sale...And if they would throw that rinky dink sail overboard, and spend $300 to $400 on good oars, oarlocks and leathers, they would be amazed at what a sweet little boat they have.

the oarlocks are in the WRONG place to start with.Look at his reach, way beyond his kneecaps! no wonder.
$5000, you could get a boat for that.

If I had been born on a lake I can promise you that I would have been a scow sailor. I love those things. We had an E-scow in our club here for awhile but the chop was too much for him, I guess.
