Running out of room. I have a deck off the back of the house that is about 10' off the ground, supported by concrete filled lolly columns-very strong construction- and would be the perfect place to restore and store the Beetle Cat.
Any ideas on attaching some kind of roof to the deck floor joists? I was thinking of that corrugated plastic stuff they have at Home Cheapo but wife said it would look ugly. What about tar paper on plywood?
Would like to hear from anyone who has put a "ceiling" on a deck.

The corrugated plastic would be ideal.

Have it sloped a little bit and put a gutter and drainpipe in to collect and direct the rainwater.

You could put a bit of lattice or board just below the deck framing at the perimiter to hide the plastic.

I assume you are going to do the restoration work below the deck, not on the deck right?

If so the only caution I have about using the fiberglass panels is that if you screw them dircetly to the deck joists you will have the devil of a time cleaning them out from all the debris that falls down through the cracks in you deck. Suspend them about an inch below and keep a space up at the top end of the slope open so that you can shoot a garden hose down there to clean out the pine needles.

Everywhere the curve of the corrugation touches the joist will be a collection point for debris, and once a dam begins it will be impossible to get rid of, then you get standing fresh water touching wood, and you know what means.

Put a nice little fascia board on the end to hide the end of the corrugated stuff and the gutter and you are good. Use water sealed electrical boxes rated for outdoors with a GFIC outlet installed.
For lighting I would go to Home Depot and get a string of those 10 bulb temporary construction light cords and hang that where you need it. Put in live bulbs where you need the electricity and save some dead bulbs to put into the sockets you don't need.

Any photos of the beetle cat? How long have you had it? How old is it?
