Yesterday in the mail I received a small manila envelope. As soon as I saw the return address, I knew what was inside. First let me say what was inside the package. Attached to a nicely handwritten and simple Frayed Knot Arts card were the words "For the Ladies of The Meerkat Club".
Within each of four small envelopes were a pair of beautiful macrame Turk's Head style earrings. Lindy was sitting with me at the table and I handed her the package saying "pick one." She was a bit unclear because although I knew the source and the reason for this gift, she was not in on the secret. I explained to her that Vince had made four sets of earrings for the ladies of "The Meerkat Club" as a token of his appreciation of their support during David's trial.
Now, as some may know but Vince couldn't, Lindy is a person of impeccable taste. She immediately said "Oh, those are beautiful." She wore them to her knitting circle that night and received several compliments, and when I came home today, she was again wearing them. A great success!
Thank you so much Vince for this beautiful present to our wonderful women.
