2007 Dragon Gold Cup

It starts Monday in Palma. 104 boats registered! Ted Sawyer of Cleveland is the only US boat registered, and my friend Miguel Cassellas from San Juan is representing Puerto Rico.

Looks like the Russians have brought about 20 boats! They have jumped into Dragon sailing in a big way. All of the usual suspects are there, and we will see if Markus Wieser can carry his momentum over from the Princess Sophia regatta this past week (of course, he only had to beat 69 boats to win that one).

The last two races were cancelled, and another was shortened. Congratulations to Lars Hendriksen of Denmark for winning his second Gold Cup. Tommy Mueller finished second, with Markus Wieser third.

The Dragon caravan now pushes on to France before a bit of a rest and then on to Dublin for the World's in July.
