Because Jamie asked, and because it looked like the dates were getting confused on the other thread:
It looks like the Annapolis Chapter of the WoodenBoat EBS will be meeting at Davis' in Eastport. I'd like to propose a start time of 17.00 (that's 5PM to those on a 12 hour clock, two bells of the first dogwatch if you're on a naval clock, or when Mickey's big hand is on the twelve and his little hand is on the five if you're in the Air Force)...
Please vote on the date, and we can change the time depending on how people feel about that...

I'll be there unless I'm overtaken by events - might even bring the wife this time. Given the warning above I'll also try not to be last! :D

Language is important here. When it is someone else, they "ran aground". When you are talking about yourself, you "touched bottom".

Chuck, the channel through Rock Hall harbor was dredged last summer, It is now 8 ft. at MLW. You still have to stay in the channel though. It is 1-2 ft. outside the channel, but it is well marked.

Now that's the same story they told me three years ago...."Oh Sure, Cap'n, you won't have any trouble with that boat"..........I was in the marked channel and in an area where the water wiggles around a bit, it packed up some sand with it. I finally rowed all the anchors out and hooked up to the big primaries, and winched out of it........:o

Well, my last trip to Rock Hall was before the dredging Uncas drew about 5'6".. So, I was heading for the breakwater and the guy ahead of me.. I was watching closely.. basically kissed the starboard entrance marker.. I mean kissed as in first.. or second date kissed...
Umm, I thought.. okay... I'm gonna follow him.:D
No problems.. but the area in the center of the harbor is umm.. or was shallow... Avoided that...;)
So.. did not touch...

I'm sure Chuck is joking. Debby and I were there and it really wasn't 2 hours - not much more than an hour and change, max. :D
And, frankly, the tube steaks were perfectly fine - moist yet firm with a hint of fruit. Jamie made friends with all the local dogs but it would really be improper for anyone to bring up the incident with the balls.
So let's just forget that, shall we?

Well being last to respond.. Thanks Unc for umm picking up the tab. I was only joking about shgowing up last.
Jami, am sorry you got stuck between two Amish carriages on a one lane road..
It was a very small gathering.. Matt, there isn't a dog house big enough for you;) This is #2....you have missed.. lol...
Oh and the anatomy we were discussing had nothing to do with dogs.
Chuck brought me a fith of umm.. the really good stuff.. I mean the GOOD stuff. Now I know I am supposed to share it with Cecil and I will but I may have to sample some of it before heading to NS. I mean, you are only allowed to bring so much across the border...
The next EBS will be held at Matt's house. Then there won't be any excuses...:D

Guys, I really, really would rather have been there. I mean, really.
On the other hand, I did make it to that Havre de Grace rummage sale at the marina, and (among other things) got to meet a Portuguese Water Dog. So the trip wasn't a total loss . . . and there's always the chance of another EBS somewhere near Hartford in June. What do you say?
