That looks like a fairly standard socket set. Is there something unusual about it? If not, I'd imagine you'd be best off getting it someplace near you. Surely there must be good sources for tools in Italy.

It is worth noting that there is a LOT of variation in quality when it comes to socket sets. Good sets are not cheap, and are worth the money if you will be using them a lot or using them for heavy work. On the other hand, the cheap sets are not a bad way to go if you will not be using the set for heavy-duty work.

the cheapest set I would get would be Craftsman. Ideally something that will never break like Snap on or Mac

Yes, socket set look like a normal set, but I'm looking for SAE size and no metric size.
I can't find easily the SAE sizing in Italia.
But I have Mercruiser 3.0L + Alpha on my boat.... ;)

Ah, I see. Yes, I can imagine an SAE set would be hard to find in Italia!

Hello Paisaino,

Go to a movie house or a coffee shop near the military base and look for young, crew cut men looking lustily at those beautiful Italian girls.
Strike up a conversation with them and maybe they can pick up a set of sockets for you at the Post Exchange.
Tell them the son of Command Seargent Major Clarizio, a relative of yours from America told you to.
