Sculley Boatbuilders located in Wanchese, NC, builds cold molded Carolina fishing yachts. They state that they make a set of building jigs, sort of like molds I think, for a particular hull. These jigs have an allowance of two feet in either direction. Thus a Sculley 60 can vary from 58 ft. to 62 ft. If that is the case what is the difference in this technique and simply re-spacing the frames or molds of any other basic boat for more or less length? The sky is not going to fall and the boat should still float! George Buehler says the same thing.
