Hey, if Ed can do it.... Only difference is that I didn't have to build the shed.

Views from port and starboard of the mess I'm getting myself into. I've already got two bolt cavities excavated, not shown in these pics. I ran a string from forward (the duct tape) to the end to the scarf which gives me the cord of the size of the stock I need, which is 5" x 8" by 8'. A local mill has the order and it should be here in two weeks. I decided to go green, keep it damp, and work fast. Once it's ready I'll soak it in the four gallons of antifreeze I have ready. (looking for some professional comments or flames here)

In the starboard view, you see that little white spot near the forward end of the ballast keel? That's where I stuck the knife and found punk. Just aft of that is a 1/2" steel drift that caused the problem. That's where the leak showed up. I've got my work cut out for me. I must have missed your previous posts on this. What kind of yacht is she - size etc?
