saw that the club gives rides on their wooden boats on sundays, hope she can get down there then.

Weather here could be worse, but we're still waiting for summer.

Lew, Lew, Lew. You'll never be a native until you can think of the cloud cover as a snug blanket that protects us. And the sound of rain as a soothing, cleansing element. More than 5 days of sun, I get cranky.

The trick of dealing with the rain in the Pacific NW, is not minding it!

Yeah! Plus when it's raining I don't get so sunburned. . . . .

The winds have been *great* the past three weeks, nothing better for a sailor :D. It's pretty when it's sunny and most of my sail-mates prefer it, but I like a little cast as I burn easily. But a nice clear bright sky and a evening sail is best.

By the way, it's calm most mornings but the winds here kick up nearly every afternoon, I'm curious about the cause of that . It's not like other places I have lived where the wind is more a factor of moving weather systems.

Oh, I don't mind the rain at all. You get more done in the rain. But c'mon. An occasional glimpse of the sun and a bit of heat (not too much, now) can't be a bad thing. I don't really care as long as we get some good weather when we're boating, which will be happening in 24 hours, and thence for three weeks. The crew doesn't like all rain on the vacation.

Bob; some of the best coastal sailing up here would, I would think, occur on sunny days. I can count the days on one hand when we've had sun with no wind. It's just as common for a bright sunny day to be accompanied by wind and spray. Flat water is, to my mind, just as likely with an even overcast.

Well I have to admit that I am happiest when its about 80 and sunny.
I like rain, but I prefer it to come in big T-storms that shake your house and rattle your brains.
drizzle for weeks on end I can do without.
