There was a WB cover article on them long ago and here's more info on the class. http://adkguideboat.com/restorations/index.html
Sailmaker Nat Wilson told a story at the local Boatbuilders Festival about making some sails for an IDEM Class boat. When it came time to deliver and trial them, he was given a cabin on the lake (access by boat only there). It seems that the rules of the lake are that no lights are to be visible from the water in the evening so the stars can be enjoyed by all. The owners of the fleet boats are mostly CEO types and fiercely competitive. Like stepping back into the 1920s. :)
