I've got a 30" bandsaw by C.E. WRICHT. MNFR. NEW ORANGE NJ, that needs a new home. It could use some TLC but is in usable condition. It does not include a motor. I've also got an older ROCKWELL/DELTA 24" jigsaw. It needs some TLC also, no motor.
They are both FREE, you just have to show up and retrieve them.

In answer to several PM's-
The bandsaw is an older babbit bearing machine. A friend had it running in his garage and had used it at Muncie's boatyard in Bay Shore, NY before that. It's in usable condition but the upper shaft and the lower bearing both could use some attention. He gave it to me when he moved to Fla. but I really don't have room for it. I'd guess it weighs about 500- 600 lbs.
The jigsaw is the type that every school shop used to have. It has no stand or motor. I've never seen it run but it looks like the pieces are all there. A neighbor was throwing it out after cleaning out his garage along with a truckload of other machinery and tools. It looked too good to not save it. It probably weighs 50-60lbs.
Babylon is located on Long Island's south shore about an hour east of NYC.
Its a bit suprising how many of those bandsaws are still around. The "New Orange" puts the build date probably before 1907. I've got the 24 inch version. You can't kill them.
