I have just spent the last few hours looking through the 83 threads that came up on the hit "fuel tanks" and the like. What I am looking for are any sources you can think of or use for your tanks. PLease give me only credibile sources. I am looking at 50gal plus. Gas is the main deal on this boat, but down the road maybe diesel so I would appreciate that link as well.

Currently, my buddy is building a 26 footer with bulkheads under the floor every 24" or so and is looking for a flatter, maybe even shaped like a v that fits in from starboard to port NOT stern to bow. I know I have seen them in the past, I just can not located them currently.

HELP??!!!

There could be rules against fitted Gas tanks - at least as far as I know. My link to the USCG manual for homebuilt boats no longer works. Could be worthwhile to check the rules for gasoline tanks before you start construction...

I had my gas tank made by New England Propeller. They were in Boston - but I think they are in Quincy or Weymouth (Mass.) now..

It depends on what kind of tanks you are looking for. Cross linked Polyethylene tanks or aluminum? Or something else.
If you go to my links site, scroll down to where it says Fuel Systems Sites. You will find liinks to
Inca, Temp, Kracor, Florida Marine Tanks, Moeller Marine, and others.

On the same site you will find all the Coast Guard regulations for gasoline fuel tanks. http://newboatbuilders.com/pages/fuel.html
