OK - so I'm only posting this so that I get around to finishing the job. This is one of the teak wheels off Grantala (built in the late 30's - probably 37). I've just had the boss and rings re-chromed and when I get inspired I take off a bit more of the old varnish.

Methinks I'll be using a bit of 'poxy here eh?

Where will you use epoxy? As a sealer? Hopefully not to put it back together. The original construction (with no epoxy) seems to have proved itself since it is being rebuilt after almost 70 years service.

There's plenty of glue in there already - of various sorts - and she's in a few more pieces than she used to be.

Someone has dowelled a few pieces with metal - others are split....
