The USCG Lifeboat CG36500 is an ongoing restoration and preservation project on a 60-year old lifeboat/rescue boat presently living in Rock harbor, near Orleans, MA on the Cape.
Anyone from the area (or from Bozeman, MT.... they ain't picky!) who might like to take a look at her and offer opinions of the restoration and preservation of her wood, just visit and see her or just offer some suggestions for keeping her white and happy will be highly appreciated by Pete Kennedy and the "crew".
I have a soft spot for the CG, even tho' I was a "Squiddy". They do a great job despite a very limited budget and a lot of bureaucratic interference and the historic vessels that individual groups have managed to keep from the breakers are my pet projects.
This one and the Tamaroa/Zuni (http://www.zunimaritime.org) are real winners in my book.
