Possible new uses: trunnels? belaying pins?

May need to be steam-cleaned first ;)

Sounds like a model 618 Atlas six inch lathe. Worth is anywhere from $300 to $1200 depending on condition and attachments.

"Attachments"?

These little six inch lathes are handy. I have one in my shop and wouldn't part with it. I do a lot of special turning for my H28 such as the bronze flag staffs on it. The attachments can go on and on. Threading gears, assorted cutters and tool posts. A milling attachment can be handy in a pinch. Tool post grinders and taper attachments are nice as well. Quick change tool holders and lever action tail stocks can be found also. Threading cutters both inside and outside plus boring bars are keen too. The list goes on and on; 5C collet chucks, assorted collets, four jawed chuck, three jaw chuck, drilling chucks, steady rests and face plates, morse taper reamers and expanding mandrils, to name a few.
