David, you've got a knack for picking the good Craig's list stuff, no question about that.

Ah yes...Montreal...the Paris of North America....that wonderful island paradise anchored safely at the confluence of the mighty St.Lawrence and the historical Ottawa rivers. The city of multi-culturalism and bi-lingualism.The fashion hot spot for the latest haut couture trends right off the runways of our European cousins. A city noted for its' fine restaurants, summer festivals, stunning fauna and ,yes, a vast underground metro system and sub-terranean city complex.

Fortunately, we also have artic winters. This keeps folks all bundled up like eskimos and dreaming of warm summertime sunshine.Coincidentally, it is also during the colder times of the year when we have our family feasts, like Thanksgiving,Christmas,New Years and Easter, which all finds folks gathered around industrial sized portions of good old home cooking. Thankfully, our multiple layers of clothing not only protects us from the cold but also covers our slightly expanded waistlines, from peeping eyes.

Come the Springtime, our ears are treated to the happy sights and sounds of trees budding, birds chirping, small children laughing and tread mills humming as panic sets in that our winter waistlines are soon to see the day of light with the coming warmth of summer.

And finally summer arrives once again, and our parks, bike paths and metros are populated with people proud to show off the results of their hard won efforts at the gym.Thankfully too, the folks who run the gyms have stroked their clients ego to the point where it is rather normal to show off, completely, ones successfull "transformation."

At this point, I would like to offer up a small, silent, prayer to whomever invented Lycra....or more precisely, whomever thought of using this material for creating clothing best described as body paint...thank you.

A simple fellow has but to stroll leisurely through our city parks, along our bikes paths or to ride the metro to recieve, gratis, a basic course in the human female anatomy. I am truly surprised we have not more doctors here!

But the absolute best of all, has to do with Montreal being almost surround by many small,un-inhabited islands. These little bits of land serve as convienient film shoot locations for Quebecs' adult film industry. One can only get there by boat:)

These small islands also serve as nifty little spots for boaters to"travel" to,anchor, and spend the weekend. Due to our long winters and much reduced hours of sunlight, not to mention that we are so bundled up most of the year anyway, it seems everyone is in a dire rush to expose every square centimetre of flesh to the sun for their daily dosage of vitamin D and to perhaps stock pile some of it for next winter.

And that, dear friends, is why I like boating so much and why I am eager to launch a new boat next summer. I gots to get me a big dose of vitamin D, right through my retinas :)

Keep a good thought!

Peter
